The annual prize distribution function of our school was held on the 5th of April. The Chief Minister presided over the function. The stage was beautifully decorated. Prizes were arranged on the side tables. The function was to begin at 4 P.M. The chief guest arrived at the right time. He was given a guard of honor by the N.C.C. students. Then he was introduced to the members of the staff. The programme started with national song. The headmaster read the annual report highlighting the progress made by the school during the session. Then the prizes were distributed. The prize winner looked excited. After the distribution was over, the chief guest rose to make a speech. He called upon the youth of country to work honestly for building a new India. The Headmaster then thanked the President and the function came to a close with the singing of the national anthem.

Annual prize distribution function is an important event in our school. We celebrate this function every year with great pomp and show. The school is tastefully decorated and the building is white-washed. This year the State Education Minister inaugurated the function. He arrived well in time. He was received by the Principal and the members of the staff. He unfurled the national flag. Some students presented a variety of cultural programmes. Other boys showed Yoga and other gymnastic items. The meritorious students were given prizes and certificates.
The Principal read out the annual report. The chief guest gave a short speech and stressed the importance of education. After light refreshment, the function came to a close.

The prize distribution function of our school was held on 15th February. Great preparations were made. I reached the function late. The function had already started. The chief guest was the education Minister. He was on his chair. The students and guests were sitting quietly. A drama was staged. Everybody liked it. A boy sang a song. Another boy recited a poem. Then the Headmaster read out the school report. The minister gave away the prizes. He made a short speech. The function come to close at 5 p.m. We came back home happily.
